La génetica espiritual is a project about my family history. I started this project in 2013 and since then I have been able to approach it from different perspectives. It has been an instrospective research through the understanding of my ancestors: their stories and origins. This knowledge brought me closer to the history of my country, to the processes of miscegenation and the power structures that are present in family and social structures.

 
At first the project became latent from the character of the root woman, who forms her identity from her ancestors and is rooted in that incompatible mixture. Later the project focused on the spaces inhabited by these ancestors and how the same house could carry the stories of four different generations. Finally the project focused on the female characters, who carried different battles during their lives, so different from each other but so admirable at the same time.

La génetica espiritual is a project that allows me to connect with people who have preceded me,  with their wounds and their dreams.
